Dr. Jeffrey Blessing


Dr. Jeffrey Blessing is an associate professor and director of the Management Information Systems program at the Milwaukee School of Engineering; where he has taught for 23 years (16 years in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science department and 7 years in the Rader School of Business). His doctorate, master’s and bachelor’s degrees are all in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee and the University of California, San Diego. He is a Kern Fellow of Entrepreneurship at MSOE, has been named a Fellow at the National Institute for Medical Informatics, and is a member of the Microsoft Dynamics Academic Alliance Advisory Council. Dr. Blessing has been chosen as technology ambassador for the United Nations Development Program with India and has twice been an invited professor for the Rockwell Global Development Program at the Czech Technical University in Prague. He has served as a consultant to major corporations and is the author of many publications in the areas of algorithms, artificial intelligence, computer networks and entrepreneurship in engineering education. Prior to his academic career, he has worked for three Fortune 500 companies and has owned and operated two small businesses in the Milwaukee area.
