Problem 2: Sometimes we see it sometimes we don't
We humans are a little quirky in that we are not completely consistent.
One time we may notice a difference between two images, but other times
we may not. The is especially noticeable for things that are barely visible.
Often times we won't see them even though they are just as much there as
other times when we do see them. On the other hand, machines are designed
so that given the same input they consistently produce the same output.
In order to account for this variability in humans, we modify our question
to now be: "For a particular image block, what is the probability of
noticing a difference between the printed image and the ideal print?"
