Purpose

In this quiz, you are to demonstrate that you can successfully submit an assignment using the electronic submission guidelines.

Forum

Support forum sign-up:

Create an account on my support forum (if you don't already have one) and post at least one message. Your message should be posted in the SE2811 subforum and indicate what you think object oriented design is. You may wish to include an example of a design you have completed for one of your courses here at MSOE. In order to receive credit for this portion of the quiz, be sure to indicate who you are in your post (or by using an obvious login name). Please note that you must click the link contained in the welcome email message before you will be able to post messages on the forum.

XML Submission

This video is a 14 minute video that describes the XML document procedure that you will use for this quiz. Here is a template file to use as a starting point for this report.

Write a brief statement (one paragraph) describing what you expect to learn in this class.

Also, indicate which of the following statements are true:

  1. If a report is due at 11:00pm on Tuesday, the best possible grade I can receive is 80% if I submit it at 11:05pm on the Wednesday (the day after it was due).
  2. If a student from another section completes a similar lab assignment before I complete mine, it is okay for them to email me a copy of their code in order to give me ideas on how to write mine.
  3. A I may lose more points by turning in an non-functional program if I have not asked the instructor for help.
  4. If I know of any errors with my source code (e.g. doesn't compile, crashes under certain circumstances, etc.), I am obligated to mention this in my report.
  5. My instructor expects me to ask him to eat lunch with him.

Then follow the electronic submission guidelines in order to submit your "report" electronically.

This report will serve as your first quiz score.
