Railroad Paint Shop

Some years back I discovered the Railroad Paint Shop, a collection of computerized drawings of undecorated railroad locomotives and other equipment that could be colored using a computer into any paint scheme. For a while I was really into this hobby and "painted" a large number of drawings from the site. Not knowing what else to do with them, I've decided to post them online. They are organized by category.

Railroad Paint Schemes

Paint schemes of real railroads depicted on actual equipment that wore the paint scheme. Highlights include some Spokane, Portland & Seattle experimental paint schemes.

Fantasy Railroad Paint Schemes

Paint schemes of real railroads, but depicted on equipment that was never in the particular paint scheme. Highlights include Amtrak PAs and GG1s, Great Northern P42s, modern Milwaukee Road electrics, modern Southern Pacific Black Widows, and BN merger road double-stack cars.

Fictional Railroad Paint Schemes

These paint schemes are entirely fictional, from my own imagination.

Overland Western Lines Paint Schemes

Paint schemes for the Overland Western Lines of the Milwaukee School of Engineering's Society of Model Engineers.

Longview, Kelso & Rainier Railway Paint Schemes

Paint scheme concepts for the Longview, Kelso & Rainier Model Railroad Club.

Logan & San Miguel Paint Schemes

Paint schemes for my own freelanced railroad, the Logan & San Miguel.
