Tickle.com's Analysis of Me

If you've spent much time surfing the internet, you've probably come across advertisements for Tickle.com's (they used to be called Emode.com) Free Online IQ Test.  Well, I was curious (and bored) one night, so I took the IQ test and some of the other free tests they have available.  For each test, the website gives you a summary of your results, and tries to sell you a "detailed report," for the test.  Well, I didn't pay for any of the reports (I don't care that much), but I did find the summaries interesting, so I copied them all into a text document.  Having done that, I realized that I really didn't have anything to do with the summaries, so I decided to put them on my website.  So here they are. 

Personality Test

You aim to succeed in multiple realms of your life. But through it all, you also know how to impress people and have a good time. You're very ambitious and personable, and you've got a great sense of humor. You care a lot about how you look. You're bursting with self-confidence, and people admire you for your achievements and determination. That will carry you farther than people who just want to climb the corporate and social ladders of life at any expense.

Behind that bold exterior you sometimes worry that you're not good enough. You can also be so critical of your work that it verges on self-destructive. You aim to succeed — and you'll quickly crush anyone who stands in your way.

Subconscious Mind Test

Your subconscious mind is driven most by curiosity. This means you are full of questions about life, people, and the potential of your future. You spend more time than others envisioning the possibilities of your life — things that others are too afraid to consider.  People who have unconscious minds driven by curiosity tend to be inquisitive types who enjoy considering new ideas. They can also be highly intellectual.  Your curiosity burns with an almost physical need to know and do more. It's only through new experiences that you feel a greater understanding of yourself or the world — which ultimately is the greatest way for you to feel satisfied.

It is possible that the underlying reason for your drive towards curiosity is a deeply rooted fear of boredom. That means that you are probably more susceptible than others to feel like you're falling into a rut when life slows down into a comfortable routine.

You need to make sure you have stimulation in your life — that makes you feel like you're innovating or being exposed to the ideas and experiences that truly inspire you.

With such a strong orientation towards curiosity, you're also prone to a rebellious quality that shows up when you feel you are just going through the motions, and are unable to really influence the world around you. But interestingly enough, your drive towards novel experiences also indicates an openness others don't have, but wish they did.

Unconsciously, your curiosity presses you to learn more, experience more, and get the most out of life.

IQ & Thinking Style Test

Your overall intelligence quotient is 133.

The way you think about things makes you an Intuitive Investigator. This means you have multiple talents and can do anything you set your mind to. You're able to detect numerical patterns easily and are able to grasp the true complexity of the world, both in its details and in a more abstract form. You've got a sharp logical mind and are adept at using words to get even a difficult point across. Intuitive Investigators have extremely active minds and may sometimes forget about their physical environment because they're so busy thinking.  The combination of all these things makes you truly brilliant.  Only 6 out of 1,000 people have this rare combination of abilities.

Left Brained or Right Brained Test

You are Left-brained. Most left-brained people like you feel at ease in situations requiring verbal ability, attention to detail, and linear, analytical ability. Whether you know it or not, you are a much stronger written communicator than many, able to get your ideas across better than others. Left-brained people are good at solving problems logically, writing nonfiction, algebra, remembering verbal material, recalling people's names, and telling stories rather than acting them out. It's also likely that you are methodical and efficient at many things that you do. You could also be good at math, particularly algebra, which is based on very strict rules that make sense to your logical mind.

True Talent Test

Your true talent is abstract reasoning. Your ability to look at information abstractly means you have a rich imagination. You're one of those rare people who can mix two unrelated ideas together to come up with a great new one. People who are strong abstract reasoners typically have vivid imaginations and strong analytical powers.  Most people aren't as skillful as you are at applying knowledge outside of its usual context.  Your combination of strategic thinking and creativity can be an incredible value in both business and social environments.

Career Area Test

Your top career area is in Math and Science. Careers in this field often demand that you enjoy thinking analytically, have strong reasoning skills and the ability to approach a problem from a variety of angles. You're not content to just question — you're motivated to test your ideas to see if they are right. Even if it's not a common perception, people who enjoy the Math and Sciences are highly imaginative and intuitive.

Right Job Test

The right jobs would allow you to be Analytical and Creative. As an Analytical type, you don't want to be limited by established rules and regulations. Your inquisitive nature demands that you sometimes question authority. Otherwise, you might not be able to find fresh approaches, or come up with new solutions to a problem. It's not that you act without weighing the pros and cons of a situation — it's more that you're more willing than others to take justifiable risks if they'll further your career success.

You're smart enough to know when you need help and are confident enough in your abilities to ask for it. You understand that sometimes there are no clear right and wrong answers, and that's just fine with you because you tolerate gray areas better than most. In fact, pondering potential outcomes can sometimes be more interesting than coming up with the definitive solution for you.

Your right job doesn't have to be about self-expression, but it needs to be a job you can be proud of.
